Experience comes from experiment.mean if you work hard and longer then it is not sure that you are getting experience.
When you will find that you can do something new and you do that thing then it is experiment.if you do so then you are learning.
So this is the reason why many people work hard but never get success.They failed because they did not try to do something new, in other words they did not experimented.
